New Bedding

So I was at Target a couple of weeks ago and while taking my trip through the baby aisles, I noticed that they had some new bedding. While checking things out, I noticed that Circo came out with some Mix-n-Match stuff that had the pinks, browns, and greens that I wanted. So after much consideration (I woke up at 3am Saturday morning and couldn't fall asleep for over an hour because I kept thinking about baby bedding) I decided to go with it. It's super cute, has lots of different options, and overall it ended up saving me some mucho bucks! Here's a picture of the crib skirt and bumper that I ended up purchasing.Mom and I are going to order the crib and dresser this weekend. I figure it'll take 6-8 weeks for it to come in and by that time we'll be close to the end of June! Time to get going on the nursery.

2 Pregnant Sistas

So my official due date is August 24th. My sister has a c-section scheduled for September 1st. So if all goes well, our babies will only be 8 days apart!! Julie had her ultrasound today and they found out they are also having a girl. How exciting! Cousins of the same sex and so close in age. Both Andy and Tom (my bro-in-law) had the same thought - a girl means paying for a wedding. Oh well. Andy suggests a joint wedding - that way we can split the bill with Julie and Tom. We'll see.

Here are some pictures of Julie and I taken Easter weekend. We are both sporting a girl filled belly! And with the help of Jake, we got some pretty cute pictures. He seems to be grasping the idea of babies being in our bellies.

21 Weeks

Today, I am officially 21 weeks. It's a great feeling to be over the half way mark - even though we still have a long way to go. Last Friday was our ultrasound and it was amazing to see how much the baby has progressed since my first ultrasound at 8 weeks. Our printer isn't unpacked yet, so I haven't been able to get our ultrasound pictures scanned. As soon as I do, I will post our 8 week and 20 week ultrasounds, but for now, here's a picture of me at 20 weeks. The belly is definitely growing!

We did find out the sex and we are having a GIRL! I was surprised as I totally thought it was a boy. Andy thought girl, so of course now he is gloating that he knew and I didn't. Shopping has started and we are into the pink (and red, green, turquoise, etc.)! I already have our bedding picked out and hope that we can get it purchased in the next few weeks. I really want to get started on the nursery and get as much done as soon as possible. I am feeling great! I have been so lucky throughout the entire pregnancy (no sickness at all) and now I am happy to say that I have even gotten my energy back. I still have days where I am more tired than most, but I'm not going directly from work to the couch, so I see that as progress.

We are really looking forward to bringing our precious baby into the world. Even though I still have 133 days left, we know it will be here before we know it!

Buddies

Grandpa Bill has two very special buddies - Torre & Jake. Here they all are hanging out together. Some of their favorite things to do: take long walks, go to the park, play outside, eat snacks, and take naps. The three of them all had a great time this weekend and it was fun to watch them all together.

Mississippi Visit

Last week was my spring break and Andy and I were lucky enough to fly down to Mississippi to visit our friends. We haven't been back since we moved the end of last June, so we were due for a visit.

Since we've moved back to MN, three of our friends have had babies. We got to meet Mahlon, Sara Beth, Kade, and Coleston - all between 8 - 10 months. It was amazing to see how big they all were and how much of their lives we've missed! We also got to visit with some of my old co-workers, G2 people, and supper club friends. It was great and we miss them all so much!

We were so blessed to stay with our great friends, Rebecca and Wesley during our trip. While we lived in the 'Sip, we spent so much time with them: eating Mexican, having fires and roasting "mallows", shopping, going to the beach, eating Mexican, shopping....did I mention eating Mexican??? We truely miss being able to spend time with them. They are such special friends.

We only took about 3 pictures and of course they turned out blurry. So here are pictures that Rebecca sent me. These are her twins Mahlon and Sara Beth. Rebecca and Wesley are amazing parents and watching their day to day life makes me thankful that there's only one baby inside of me!
