Highlights of Bailey's third month of life:
Once again, my Aunt Jan put together quiet the feast! We actually had our dinner at their church. Now that our family is expanding, this allowed for a little more room - especially for the kids. They were able to run, play with their big John Deere tractors and not have to worry about running into anything breakable (except for a baby or two!). We had such a great time. We only get to see the Krause side of our family about 3 times a year: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and camping at Firefly Lake in the summers. Since our visits are few, the time we do get to 
share together is very special. 
We headed back to MN on Saturday. Bailey was great in the car and we returned home safely. We stayed at my parent's house that night since Andy wasn't home yet. Thank goodness we came back on Saturday so we had Sunday to recoup. It was a busy holiday, yet made me realize how much I have to be thankful for: a loving husband, a beautiful home, amazing parents, an awesome sister, amazing nieces and nephews, and the best gift of all this year....BAILEY!!! 
Just wanted to post a few pictures that I've taken of Bailey lately. I realized that I have hardly taken any pictures in her 3rd month of life. I hate to think that I'm already slacking on that job! 
We finally put together her bouncey seat. She's getting to the point where she kicks her feet when she's excited so we thought it would be some good entertainment for her. 
We continue to have tummy time multiple times a day. Some times she will lift her head so high off the floor and other times all she wants to do is flop her head down and lay there. 
This past weekend, two of my close friends from Iowa (Jess & Trisha)came to spend the day with us. Trisha had a baby girl, Kyra, almost 1 month after Bailey was born. It was amazing to look at Kyra and think that Bailey was that size and at that developmental level just a few weeks ago. It just reminds you how quickly they change!
We were fortunate enough to have time to visit with lots of friends: 
Heidi and Isabel; Jessica, Heather, Vanessa, and Mirra; Uncle Brett, Aunt Sara, Bridget and Lizzie; Mark, Nancy, and Andy; and both sets of Grandparents!!! Needless to say, but the time Saturday night came around, Bailey and I were very tired. 
I know I'm biased, but I think Bailey was the cutest little pumpkin I've ever seen! 
I had never put her in her costume until this weekend and I just about died once I put the hood up and her little round face just stuck out of it perfectly! It was a great Halloween weekend! 
Here is how I found Bailey the other morning. She had started on her "wedge" with her feet where her head is in this picture. So basically she scooted all the way down off her wedge and then turned almost 180 degrees!!!
Last week was Bailey's first big trip. We headed to Chicago to meet Abby - my sister's little girl who was born 4 days after Bailey! It was MEA break, so my mom had two days off of school. We have had this trip planned since Julie and I were just a few months pregnant. We knew that this was going to be the first chance we would have for us to finally meet each others daughter. Bailey did awesome! We headed to my parent's house Wednesday morning. Once my parents had the car packed and Bailey was fed, we were on our way. Bailey slept until the Dells which is about half way to Chicago. We stopped so I could feed Bailey and we could all get something to eat. As soon as Bailey was done with her bottle, she basically got rid of it instantly and "soaked" through her clothes. Mom and I had to go inside and take a good amount of time to get her out of her poopy clothes without getting it all over her and us! Once we were back on the road, Bailey was asleep again until we arrived in Chicago. I don't want to jinx myself, but she does great on car rides. 
We spent 4 days with the Van Dixhorns. There are so many memorable moments from the trip - most of them revolving around my two-year old nephew Jake. He is so much fun....yet a little naughty at times (definitely acting like a 2 year old should). The best was seeing him
love on his sister and cousin. He would come up to Bailey and kiss her on her forehead. He would try putting her pacifier in when she started to cry or fuss (or even when she was perfectly happy). It was great! I was so happy I could finally meet my niece Abby. It's going to be so much fun having two girls so close in age. I can honestly say they weren't all that exciting on this trip, but it's fun to think of all the things Bailey and Abby will do together as they grow up. 
Our big goal for the long weekend was to have a mini "photo shoot" with the kids. Mom bought them all matching outfits and Julie had all these great locations around Chicago that she wanted to take them. Of course the weather did not cooperate and was basically cold and rainy the entire time we were there, so we settled for an indoor shoot instead (probably easier so we could prop the girls up). It was tough to get everyone to cooperate (staying awake, not crying, etc.) but overall it was pretty fun. 
The trip home was basically the same as it was to Chicago. Bailey did a lot of sleeping, had another blowout diaper, and was a great traveler. Seeing all 3 kids together made me realize how lucky we are to be blessed with such sweet kids. I can't wait to watch them all grow up together and look forward to the family expanding even more (someday)!!!
We had such a good time! Of course we wanted to take lots of pictures of Bailey's first apple orchard experience - which she basically slept through the entire trip.
I LOVED this sign! It reads "How Tall This Fall". I did my best to hold Bailey up straight so we could get a good idea as to how tall she is. This will be so fun to watch her grow and take her picture next to this sign every year (or whenever we go). 
We stopped by this apple tree on our way out to take a quick picture. The funniest thing was as we were finishing up, an older women came to this tree and started picking up some of the apples on the ground and was putting them in her purse while she talked to herself. I guess she must be struggling economically and needed to "steel" some apples to take home.
This is a picture of Bailey on her 1 month birthday! My sister took pictures of my nephew Jake every month on the same chair. It was so neat to watch him change and grow month to month. So I am "stealing" her idea and doing the same thing with Bailey. It's amazing how much she has changed in her first month of life!
Bailey had her first photo shoot on Friday. Our friend Kim was kind enough to take 4 hours and dedicate the whole time to Bailey. She got some amazing shots. 
On Saturday, Bailey went to her first baseball game. It only seemed right for her first ball game to be a St. Scholastica game. The alumni played against the current team and it's probably only right that the current team won both games against the "old guys". 
We were so glad that we could introduce Bailey to so many of our good friends. She definitely had lots of people ooooooo-ing and ahhhhhhh-ing over her. 
It was a great weekend that went by too fast! Hopefully we can take Bailey up to Duluth again soon. It will be nice to take her to visit both of our college campus's, take her to Canal Park and go along the lake walk. Duluth is such a special place for Andy and me, and we can't wait to share more of it with Bailey!
It's during times like these that we are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family. Just wanted to thank our good friends Gabe, Kelsey and Ella for all they have done for us. This summer they had us over to their house at least once a week. We would grill out, play cards, have fires and make s'mores. It made our summer very memorable. Since we found out we were pregnant, Kelsey has given me maternity clothes, baby clothes, misc. baby items, etc.
Needless to say, these guys are LIFESAVERS! Thanks for being such awesome friends! We look forward to all the memories we will make with our kiddos!
Andy is coaching the MN Blizzard 13U Elite baseball team again this fall/winter. This year, the league has rented out a complex that just happens to be in Inver Grove Heights. Since they practice on Saturdays and then have games on Sundays, we decided we would just make a weekend out of it. So this was Bailey's first weekend away from home. We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Kostner's house. We are so lucky to have our own room/level of the house to ourselves. That way we don't bother Grandma and Grandpa when we're up at 3am feeding!
Morgan. Morgan was born 3 days before Bailey. It's was fun to go through pregnancy with Taya and now we get to raise our girls together. Our visit was short, but fun. Bailey slept the whole time while Morgan did everything else possible (eat, poop, cry, sleep a little, eat again, etc.). 
On Sunday we headed over to Grandma and Grandps Sieberer's house. They had invited some extended family over to meet Bailey. Unfortunately, not many people were able to make it, but it was nice to see those who did. Thanks to Mary and the Darrow's for making it over to meet Bailey! 
Just wanted to post some more pictures. They are all totally random. I did a mini photo shoot with Bailey this morning after changing her. She was all curled up and looked so cute that I just grabbed my camera to snap a few. Something I will always remember about Bailey is how she LOVES to be all curled up in a ball. Andy and I call her our little bug.

dad built it over 31 years ago when my sister was born. Both she and I slept in this cradle and now it's Baileys turn!
