Yesterday marked the first month of Bailey's life. I can't believe how fast the first month went. It makes me realize how fast she will grow! We've definitely gone through a lot during the first month of her life. I finally feel somewhat adjusted to this new lifestyle and things are definitely getting easier.
Here are some highlights of Bailey's first month of life:
*Took her first big trip to Duluth for a weekend. Got to meet lots of daddy's college buddies at Saints Baseball Alumni Weekend.
*Our friend Kim took Bailey's newborn pictures. She spent 4 hours snapping shots of her and the pictures turned out amazing!
*Mommy had to use 4 diapers in one changing because Bailey continued to poop and poop throughout the entire changing. Even got some poop on the dresser and floor!
*Visited a Lactation Consultant 2 times to help with feedings.
*Went to the doctor's office weekly to get Bailey's weight checked because we couldn't get her back up to her birth weight. We finally surpassed it at our 4 week visit!
*At Bailey's 3 week weight check, she peed all over the nurse and scale as we were trying to get her weight.
*During tummy time, Bailey will hold her head up for more than 10 seconds. She also rotates her head from side to side so I don't have to move it for her!
* She is sleeping like a champ at night. We have our last bottle of the day around 11 pm. I have to set my alarm so she doesn't go more than 5 hours until her next bottle. Then Bailey goes back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. Mommy and Daddy can't complain about that!
*Bailey got to meet lots of friends: Ella, Avery, Tommy, Finn, and Morgan
This is a picture of Bailey on her 1 month birthday! My sister took pictures of my nephew Jake every month on the same chair. It was so neat to watch him change and grow month to month. So I am "stealing" her idea and doing the same thing with Bailey. It's amazing how much she has changed in her first month of life!
