27 Weeks

Sometimes it's hard to believe that I'm already 27 weeks along! But then again, there are other times when I want her to get here tomorrow! I know, I know....everyone (with kids) is telling me to enjoy these last few weeks of rest and relaxation, but you know how it is. You just want to meet this little thing that's been growing inside of you. I want to know what she looks like - will she have a whole head of dark hair like Andy or be a baldy like I was? Are her fingers going to be long and skinny or short and stalky? Will her nose be cute as a button? All of these questions are starting to stir in my head.

This weekend we purchased the paint for her room. We are painting it a bright pink and light pink! Sure hope our doctor was right when he said it was a girl. Otherwise my dad is going to have some re-painting to do! Now that we have the paint and bedding, I just can't wait to get started on putting her room together. Unfortunately we don't have the crib or dresser yet. I ordered it in the middle of April and at that time they told me it would be 8-12 weeks. But I have all the ideas in my head. We still need to find a glider, order the sheer curtains and letters for her wall, put up a second shelf and hanging bar in her closet.....and the list goes on and on. Lucky for me, next week is our last week of school and then I'll have all summer to get ready for the baby!

24 Week Bump

Here's my baby bump at 24 weeks like I had promised. Baby Sieberer is definitely growing every day. I have been feeling her for 2 weeks now and her movements are starting to get stronger. Last weekend when I rolled over in bed (more like flopped), I swear she gave me a hard elbow jab. I didn't mind because it's reassuring to know she's still in there.

Is this for me?

As we slowly collect/buy things for the baby, Torre has to check it all out. When Andy put together the swing, he sat right by him and watched every move. After taking the car seat out of the box, he walked all around it sniffing away. We have been keeping everything in the baby's room and now Torre will sit outside the door and bark. When we let him in he just walks around and sniffs everything he can.

Some people have asked me how I think Torre will react when we bring a baby home. He is definitely used to getting all of our attention, but I think he'll adjust well. He has always done well when little kids are around him. When my nephew, Jake, was an infant, we would lay him out on a blanket and Torre would sit/walk around the blanket, just looking at Jake. We think he'll do great with a baby!

24 Weeks

Today I have reached the 24 week mark. I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm not sure if I want to step onto the scale. This little girl has grown A LOT in the last 4 weeks. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that we still have 16 weeks to go! I will try and post a new belly picture soon as it's time to take one of those again.

My good friends Jess and Trisha were up this weekend. We haven't seen each other since spring break LAST year! It's always so good to see them. We always pick up just where we left off and it never seems like it's been that long between visits.

Andy went up to Duluth this weekend. CSS retired Coach Baggs' number on Saturday and his son Maddux threw the first pitch of the game. I so wish I could've been there, but I know Andy was glad that he could be part of this important day. We are so thankful that we are back up in MN and have been able to be with our CSS baseball family during these times while we remember a great coach, mentor, father, and friend.
