Twins Game

On June 12th, I got to take Bailey to her first Twins game!Ga and Papa came along too.Our adventure started with Bailey's first trip on a train (ok, it was just the light rail, but it's close enough).
Then we went to meet up with our best friends, Abby and Avery. We also saw our good friends Amy and Bobby. The game was pretty memorable with Avery needing to take many trips to the bathroom and Bailey getting upset every time she left. We also ate a LOT of snacks to keep ourselves occupied (thanks to Ga for packing lots of special snacks)! Bailey also had her first bowl of Dippin' Dots.Bailey enjoyed all the music as well as the crowd clapping. Even though we didn't actually "see" much of the game, we still made it through the whole thing and had a wonderful time!

Catching Up....

This update is long overdue, which is an indication of how busy our summer has been. It's hard to believe that we're already a full week into July. Seriously, where has the time gone?? Let me tell you.

June started with a big move. Andy has taken a new job in the Lake Geneva area of
Wisconsin. He is now running the Four Lakes Athletic Club - one of the clubs that my bro-in-law and family own. It was a hard decision to make since Andy had just received a promotion with Gold's Gym, but when we looked long-term, we knew this was the best decision for Andy and his career, as well as for our family. So on June 4th, with a fully loaded 26-foot moving truck, Andy was on his way while Bailey and I stayed behind.
People might wonder why we didn't all move together as most families would? The main reason is that I will finish my Masters degree this December. I am too far into it to not finish and have taken more credits than another university would accept as a transfer. So Bailey and I have been going back and forth between staying at our home and my parent's home. That will come to an end on July 31st, as we have found a family to rent our home for a year. Once the school year begins, Bailey and I will be staying with our good friends, the Fransens, for the year. Then, once school is out for the summer, we will join Andy at our new home in Wisconsin. That's an update on some big changes that have taken place. Here are some other things that have been keeping us busy this summer.

Papa, Ga (that's what B calls my parents), and I took Bailey to her first Twins game...and her first train ride (ok, it was on the lightrail, but close enough)!
A trip to Chicago with Ga to visit Tom, Julie, Jake & Abby.
Andy came down to join us in Chicago for Father's Day weekend. It was the first time we saw him since he moved. Bailey and I were so excited to see him! I've been busy taking 3 courses (I know, what was I thinking!?!?), driving back and forth to my parents house, and taking care of B! Bailey has spent lots of time playing outside, swimming (her new favorite), and entering the lovely temper tantrum stage of toddlerhood. Overall, we've been having a great summer. I'll post some more on other specific things we've done!
