We drove up Friday night after work and after hitting up downtown to pick up some pizza and adult beverages, we headed to check-in. Our first night was filled with food, drinks, and cards. Probably the most memorable part of the evening was right before we left our room. We all decided to get into our sweats before heading to the hotel bar (we're classy like that! Poor Gabe only had his black dress shoes with him, so he spent the evening dressed like this.
Saturday was a fun filled day. The plan was for the boys to play 18 holes in the morning while Kelsey and I went to Virginia to get pedicures. Then we'd meet back up for lunch before playing another 18 at The Quarry. All went as planned....until Kelsey and I tried to find the spa. To make a long story short, our appointments were booked at their "sister spa" in Ely, so no pedicures for us.
Then it was time for "THE" golf course of the weekend....The Quarry. Rated as on of MN best golf courses, this place was ridiculous, but amazingly beautiful!!! Unfortunately for us, it started raining around the 4th hole and basically lasted the rest of the round. Between the rain and wind, it got pretty chilly, but we all enjoyed it immensely.
Needless to say, after a busy day, none of us were up for a night out...especially when the gentlemen of the party were like this by 9:00 in the evening.
We are so fortunate to have such wonderful friends in our lives. I can't imagine life without these guys!!
