Playing in the pantry. Bailey finally realized that this is where food is stored. She knows that her pretzels are in the bottom drawer and mommy's coffee is in the top drawer. We had to move the raisins to a higher shelf because she would always go in and get herself a box. Sometimes she'll open the door, walk in, turn around and shut the door, and just hang out inside until someone comes to get her. She never cries or is scared. Instead she just chats with herself and will sometimes give the door a little knock.
Working at the desk. This is where we keep our bills, mail, computers, etc. Bailey now thinks that it's her work space. She'll climb on up the chair, get on her computer (or will sometimes try to get on our computer) and will start working away. Other times she will ask to color while she's at the desk. No matter what she's doing, she's always working hard.
Walking in a store. It's very hard to keep Bailey occupied in a shopping cart these days. Or worse, put her in her stroller and she'll only last for about five minutes. She wants to be out and walking around like all the big people. Sometimes she does really well and will stay close, but other times she will try to take off, making shopping trips pretty difficult.
Brushing her teeth. Bailey loves getting to brush her own teeth. We have two toothbrushes for her...that way she can be brushing and so can mommy! She's very cooperative and will say "Ahhh," and "Cheese," so that we can brush her teeth for her. Really she just likes to play with the faucet and suck the water off of her toothbrush.
No matter what she does, how she acts, or how many fits she throws, I love my little Bailey with all of my heart. It's hard to believe that she's no longer our baby girl, but instead, an 18-month-old... who's going on five!
